Another country is entering the world of crypto money! This time, Ripple, which is on the agenda with lawsuits, is in the lead role.

Ripple (XRP), which made its name known to the masses with the SEC lawsuit, announced that they are working and partnering with the Republic of Palau to help it determine its national digital currency strategy. The President of the Republic of Palau stated that they will focus on exploring options for creating a national digital currency.

The partnership statement also included information that they hope to deploy this digital currency in the first half of 2022 with Ripple providing technical, business, design and policy support.

Commenting on the partnership after Ripple's announcement, Republic of Palau President Surangel S. Whipps, Jr. said:

As part of our commitment to lead in financial innovation and technologies, we are delighted to partner with Ripple. The first phase of the partnership will focus on a cross-border payment strategy and exploring options for creating a national digital currency, giving Palau citizens greater financial access.
